Hello to Nova Scotia

First, here's a farewell shot with Grandpa Bob and GrAnne, the night before we caught an early flight to Halifax. Thanks for the fun times!

We had another smooth travel day, thanks in huge part to those oh-so-awesome touch-screen monitors at each seat on the plane. Yay and double-yay for technology! (Airports are a breeze, too, since I'm currently armed with hundreds of dollars in Starbucks and Jamba Juice gift cards, compliments of many generous students and their families.)

As usual, Papa picked us up at the airport, and we made a quick stop for Timbits on the way to Nana and Papa's place. (Why is it that all of my coveted Canadian treats are pure fat and sugar?)

The kids were happy to explore their favorite spots once we arrived. We found that Nana's shed had been all swanked up – new wall paneling and a linoleum floor. Snazzy!
We found frogs at the "secret beach", and took in the view.
Lochaber Mines even treated us to a spectacular sunset. What a welcome!

Red sky at night.....
