We were in the middle of making banana muffins today when the phone rang, and I had to leave the kitchen for a minute. I left Trevi mixing up the dry ingredients. When I returned, he was deeply involved in his own cooking show. The scooping, leveling, dumping and mixing lasted all the way until dinnertime.
The manhandled flour never did make it into the muffins (most of it ended up on the floor), but I really loved watching Trevi at work, reminding me that the process is much more important than the product (even when the product is dessert).
